Bouncing Stars club competition.

Although the Competition will be run on British Gymnastic guidelines, the whole idea of the event is to have fun, and to get the experience of being in a competition without doing it in front of a lot of strangers.

In a British Gymnastics competition, if a competitor does not know a move, or makes a mistake that would be the end of their routine, but for this event we are just going to knock off one mark, for each mistake or omission.

There is still a lot of work to do on these routines, but we thought it would be nice for parents and guests to see the amazing progress all our club members have made.

History of the Thomas Knight Award

As well as the winners getting individual medals, we thought it would be nice for the club to keep a record of the winners of our club competitions. In 2016 Claire's grandfather was 90, and all her life he has been very supportive of all her sporting activities, so the family thought it would be nice to have a club trophy in his name. Therefore the winners name will be added to the Thomas Knight Trophy after each club competition.

Chapman Award

We did not think it was fair that the trampolinists had a trophy and not the gymnasts, so we now also have the Chapman Gymnastics Trophy to record each year’s winner of the gym competition.

For this competition we ask all the gymnasts to compete a vault and floor routine that is suitable for their level. We are not looking at difficulty just how well the routines are performed.
